Two Signs That Your Cafe Needs to Be Repainted
Posted on: 6 March 2019
There are several signs that can indicate that it might be time to contact some commercial painters and have them repaint your cafe. Continue reading to find out more about these signs.
The wall paint in your food preparation area has begun to flake off
If the wall paint in the area where you and your staff members prepare your customers' meals has begun to flake off, then you should have a commercial painter remove this old paint and apply some fresh colour to these walls as soon as possible.
The reason for this is as follows; flaking paint in a place where food is prepared could be a health hazard that could put your customers at risk of illness.
If, for example, some small paint flakes fall off the wall and land in a salad that is being prepared for a customer, and the staff member making this meal fails to spot these flakes before they serve it, the customer could then end up ingesting the paint. The severity of the symptoms the customer could experience as a result of ingesting these paint flakes would depend on whether the paint is water- or oil-based (as the latter tends to be more toxic than the former) but in either case, this individual may need to seek medical treatment. An incident like this could result in a major lawsuit as well as the permanent closure of your cafe.
Given this, if you have spotted some flaking paint on the walls in this area of your cafe, you should get this issue resolved by a commercial painter immediately.
The wall paint in your seating area has faded to the point where it no longer matches your brand colours
Lots of business owners choose to paint their premises with colours that are similar to or that match the colours of their brand, as this can be an effective way to reinforce their brand image.
However, as time passes, the painted walls on their premises that are near windows (and are, therefore, regularly exposed to UV light) can fade to the point where the colour of these walls barely resembles the original shade of paint that was applied to them.
If this has happened in your cafe, then it is important to have a commercial painter refresh the colours of these walls as soon as possible.
The reason for this is as follows; if the fading process has resulted in some of your cafe's wall colours no longer matching your brand colours, it may weaken your brand's identity. This is a serious matter, as a strong brand helps people to remember your business and ensures that you stand out from your competitors.
